2017 Unplugged Leaders
This will be Sam’s first year as an Unplugged group leader. Sam is an avid alpine ski racer, and loves to be outdoors hiking, running, or going on walks with his dog, Mazie. He is also very passionate about the ocean after spending a semester at the Island School. Sam is a senior at Burr and Burton Academy, and once the college search is over, he wants to major in Environmental Studies in order to learn how to combat climate change. Sam has worked with children of all ages from working at summer camps, various summer jobs, and being a freshman mentor. He is excited to be a unplugged leader this year!
Clay is thrilled to be a co-leader for Boys Unplugged this year!
A junior at Collegiate School in New York City, Clay loves spending time with kids of all ages. In 2016, he worked for Go Project, an organization dedicated to providing academic support to elementary school students, teaching children in a variety of subjects and helping them build confidence. Clay enjoys outdoor activities of all kinds – from mountain biking to hiking to skiing to a friendly game of dodgeball. He also sings in an a cappella group, and in his free time has started composing music. He is really looking forward to getting to know this year's Boys Unplugged participants and to sharing some great adventures together!
